What are the IHC Art Awards?
The IHC Art Awards were established in 2004 to encourage and recognise creativity from New Zealanders with an intellectual disability.
IHC Art Awards 2011
The IHC Art Awards are open to any New Zealander with an intellectual disability aged 13 and over. Over 360 artists entered the awards and the art was displayed in regional exhibitions in Hamilton, Wellington and Dunedin. The top 10 artworks from each region were selected for the national exhibition in Wellington.
Prizes and awards presentation
The Art Awards were presented at a function in Wellington on Tuesday 16 August.

National art exhibition
A national exhibition of the 30 finalist artworks took place at the St James Theatre Gallery, Wellington from 2-16 August 2011.
